Abstract: Numerous lineages of heterotrophs evolved from photosynthetic eukaryotic ancestors and usually have retained a plastid, although cases of secondary plastid loss are known, too. Based on a previous investigation by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Leukarachnion sp.
