Abstract: Introduction: Proton pump inhibitors (PPI) are the drugs, most commonly used in the treatment of acid peptic diseases like gastric, duodenal ulcers, gastro-esophageal reflux disease, gastritis and Zollinger Ellison syndrome. Though they have good clinical safety profile, few adverse effects have been reported with chronic use of PPI.
