Leimeister et al (2009) conducted a cross-national study of German and Italian CIOs to better understand RFID Adoption from the CIOs' perspective. The key variables of study included RFID's perceived potentials (i.e., relative advantage) and perceived strategic importance as well as the impact of cultural differences between German and Italian CIOs.…”

“…All these benefits, if realized, would enable the supply chain to provide new products and services (Loebbecke & Palmer, 2006;Leimeister et al, 2009), which would give rise to competitive advantage at the firm level (Leimeister et al, 2009).…”

“…This method was considered appropriate because this study is more exploratory than confirmatory (Leimeister et al, 2009), requires no presupposition of normality in variables and is geared to research models that predict the effects of some variables on others. Moreover, Anderson and Gerbing (1988), Bagozzi and Yi (1988), Barclay et al (1995) and Chin et al (2003) recommend it over maximum likelihood techniques in studies in which the theory is not firmly established.…”
