Abstract: We consider a deterministic optimal control approach with cost‐effectiveness analysis for the diphtheria outbreak in the Rohingya refugee camp in Bangladesh. A deterministic epidemic dynamical model for diphtheria outbreaks has been developed with three optimal controls: vaccination, latent, and infectious treatment.
