A conserved pressure-driven mechanism for regulating cytosolic osmolarity

Abstract: Controlling intracellular osmolarity is essential to all cellular life. Cells that live in hypo-osmotic environments like freshwater must constantly battle water influx to avoid swelling until they burst.
