A Concise Method for Calibrating the Offset of GPS Precise Satellite Orbit

Abstract: A set of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) satellite orbit and clock offset are an essential prerequisite for precise application. However, abrupt changes in accuracy at the boundaries are prevalent in products provided by international GNSS services, resulting in decreased orbit interpolation precision near the daily boundary. In addition, the effect of this phenomenon is reflected in the deterioration of accuracy and the fluctuations in subsequent applications. In this study, time-weighted and equal… Show more

“…This results in incomplete compensation with satellite clock errors. In Yang et al [30], the satellite orbit was calibrated first and then the satellite clock error was corrected according to the difference between the modified orbit and the original orbit. In this research, assuming that IGS satellite clock and orbit products are fixed, we estimate the uncompensated biases at the day boundary and correct them to the original IGS satellite clock products.…”

“…To mitigate effect of the day-boundary discontinuities in the satellite clock product on time transfer solutions, various studies have been conducted [17,19,[26][27][28][29][30][31]. Overlapping arcs are commonly employed to reduce the impact of the dayboundary discontinuities [27][28][29].…”

“…Previous studies have mostly applied offset-tracking technology to the fields of earthquakes, glaciers and landslides, but few people have applied this technology to the surface deformation monitoring of debris flows [32][33][34][35][36]. Chen used SBAS-InSAR technology to monitor the deformation of the debris flow source area of Xulong Ditch and obtain the annual deformation of the area [20].…”
