The BBC Learning English website has become an important method of learning and studying English as a second language, a resource that enhances the importance of e-learning. The aim of the current research is to find Saudi students' knowledge of and attitude towards e-resources on BBC Learning English. The sample size was 28 participants (17 male and 11 female participants). The knowledge and attitude were assessed based on scales (from a questionnaire) and their outcomes were correlated with each other; the effect of gender, age and reason for learning were also assessed in relation to the knowledge and attitude variables. Using appropriate statistical tests it was found that there is a significant positive relationship between the knowledge of e-resources and the attitude towards them on BBC Learning English. Gender was not found to have an effect on the attitude scale; however age appeared to have a significant effect on the knowledge variable. The reason for learning English was not found to have an effect on the knowledge of e-resources.

This article attends to the connections between neo-liberal and neo-developmentalist labour regimes, asylum and immigration management, and the exploitation of undocumented, refugee, and migrant women, based on the experiences of Syrian refugee women in Turkey. The concept of precarity is explored as a selectively applied strategy by states to people who lack “status” or who are unable to benefit from “membership rights.” Forced migrants, illegal migrants, and asylum seekers are directly implicated in highly precarious work experiences at the bottom end of labour markets across the Global South, becoming trapped in forced labour and human trafficking arrangements. The article establishes a link between extreme forms of migrant labour exploitation in precarious life worlds and gender-based profiling of life chances.

<p>In general, Arabic is the official language of the Arab states. However, at the beginning of its contact with non-Arab societies, this language—that is always associated as the language of Islam—was not easily accepted by non-Muslims. One of them is Coptic community, the native of Egyptian people who are Christians and speak Coptic language. The spread of the Arabic language was a serious challenge for them both from the issue of social identity, culture, and religion. This paper attempts to elaborate the reactions and efforts made by the Coptic community on the influence of the Arabic language to their lives. In detail, the paper tries to answer research questions as follow: 1) Howwas the social and political background of Coptic community before and after the coming of Islam in Egypt? 2) How was the Islamization and Arabization process in Egypt? Did the process run concurrently or two things different from its periode? What is the influence of the Arabic language on socio cultural and religious aspects of the Coptic community? To arrive at these objectives, the author used descriptive analysis methods by reviewing previous studies related to the subject and combining it with current information. The results showed that: 1) from the socio-cultural side, Arabic has become Coptic identity that can be seen from their Arabic names and their integration as part of both in ritual and religious literature.<strong></strong></p>
