A conceptual framework for nutritional evaluation, screening, and monitoring of pregnant women: Evidence from a Brazilian cohort of nulliparous women

Abstract: Pregnancy is a short period when diverse metabolic alterations and physical transformations occur, leading to increasing requirements for calories and specific nutrients for fetal development and a healthy outcome. 1 Food combinations that comprise the maternal diet provide relevant information on nutritional evaluation and management.
