The chief objective of this study is to utilize non‐edible, carbon‐rich oil derived from Prunus domestica seeds as blended fuel. The combustion efficiency of derived blends shall further be enhanced by blending higher alcohol into biodiesel/diesel blends. This work details the impact of effectively utilizing waste and non‐edible oil to replace fossil fuels partially. In this study, the P. domestica is trans‐esterified to methyl ester and blended with diesel at 20%. Further to enhance the ignition nature, butanol, higher alcohol, is blended to P. domestica biodiesel/diesel blends at 5% and 10%. The ignition pattern of the modified fuels is extensively studied and compared with diesel in a stationary research diesel engine. This study involves four fuel samples, namely, neat P. domestica methyl ester and is termed PDME. 20% of PDME is blended with 80% diesel is referred to as PDME20. 20% of PDME with 5% n‐butanol and 75% diesel is termed PDME20Bu5D75, 20% of PDME with 10% n‐butanol and 70% diesel is termed as PDME20Bu10D70 and diesel. Addition of PDME and butanol at different blends found miscible with diesel. PDME and butanol provided a suitable time for reaction and mixing, complete combustion, higher O2 content, and rich fuel‐air mixture, resulting in lower emissions than diesel. Further, butanol aided better atomization, effective combustion and resulted in higher efficiency with lower fuel consumption. Adding butanol also lowered the viscosity and improved the mixing process, and produced better in‐cylinder pressure and heat release rate.

Aim: Comparing and analyzing the surface roughness of the CNC Novel Drilling of sisal fibre reinforced with aluminium wire mesh sandwich composite and sisal fibre composite with 45⁰ /0⁰ /45⁰ ply orientation angle. Materials and methods: The examination of surface roughness during penetrating the drill on sisal fiber metal composite overlay of sisal and aluminium wire mesh layered as sandwich (sisal -aluminium -sisal -aluminium -sisal) with sisal built up composite cover. The unidirectional sisal fiber is laid in 45°/0°/45° direction in both the overlays considered for correlation. The work material picked for this review is aluminium wire lattice of grade 6092 and unidirectional sisal fiber. The type of drill bit selected for novel drilling operation is tungsten carbide drill bit. The Sisal fibre reinforced laminates were manufactured in two groups (Experiment group =1 and Control Group =1). Sample sizes for each group were 20 with pre-test power of 80%, beta=0.05%, and CL 95%. Results:A test study is chosen with samples for every group and surface roughness is estimated for both the experimental group and control group and analyzed for its significance by SPSS software and the graphs were plotted and level of significance was found to be 0.031 (p<0.005). Conclusion: Within the limitations of the study, the experimental group of novel sisal fibre reinforced with aluminium wire mesh sandwich composite (sisal -Al -sisal -Al -sisal) with 45⁰ /0⁰ /45⁰ ply orientation angle gives the good surface finish with 26.5% improvement in surface roughness value in comparison with base materials..

This research aims to utilize the energy available from fish canning waste (FCW) as a partial alternative. The fuel is chemically modified to fish canning waste methyl ester (FCWME) by acid‐catalytic transesterification process and blended with diesel at 10%, 20% and 30% volume. The engine utilized in this study is slightly modified by engaging exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) to lower the nitrous oxide (NO) emission of oxygen‐rich fuel blends. Performance tests demonstrated that the FCW/diesel blends show similar patterns to diesel. Higher fuel consumption of 0.01, 0.03 and 0.04 kg/kWh was noted by including FCWME by 10%, 20% and 30% by volume. Power losses of about 1.4%, 1.9% and 2.1% were experienced by blending 10%, 20% and 30% volumes of FCWME with diesel. Conversely, the tailpipe emissions, namely smoke, CO and HC emissions, lowered by 3.7%, 0.017% and 21 ppm, with 117 ppm elevated NO emissions for the FCWME/diesel blends than diesel. The test results revealed that the NO emissions from all test fuels lowered drastically during 10%–30% EGR; 91 ppm reduction in NO emissions was observed at a 30% EGR rate, with a slight increase in other regulated emissions. Considering the encouraging impacts on the environment and improved fuel combustion pattern, FCW biofuel shall be employed as a likely and fractional alternative to diesel fuel.
