“…Different types of D. esculentum solvent extractions have been investigated regarding their pharmacological properties, especially for neuromodulatory effects both in vitro and in vivo [ 30 ]. D. esculentum ethanolic extract (1.25 mg/mL) inhibited AChE, BChE, and BACE-1 at 46.15, 53.12, and 55.91% [ 17 ], while a 70% methanolic extract inhibited AChE with an IC 50 value of 272.97 µg/mL [ 31 ].…”

“…Fortunately, kaempferol, quercetin, and rosmarinic acid-the top three phytochemicals found in DE (Table 1)-have also been reported to cross the BBB [29], highlighting the possibility that these compounds contributed to the rough eye improvement in Drosophila (Figure 5). “…The plant possesses antiin ammatory and antioxidant chemicals that can help cure topical dermatitis and decrease in ammation and oxidative stress in the skin. It also has a poisonous impact on insects through contact poisoning, respiratory accretion, and acetylcholinesterase inhibition (Roy & Chaudhuri, 2020;Semwal et al, 2021).…”
