A Comprehensive Review on Alginate as Wound Dressing Biomaterial

Abstract: Background: The design and characteristics of alginate biomaterial have a significant role in wound dressing and tissue regeneration. The ideal biomaterial for wound dressing must have biodegradable, biocompatible, non-inflammatory, non-toxic.
