“…De acuerdo con las observaciones de campo, se determinó la presencia del patógeno, mediante las manifestaciones correspondientes a brotación tardía y escaso número de brotes, como también enrollamiento foliar en la etapa de floración de las plantas, lo cual está asociado respectivamente a la presencia de chancros necróticos en la base de los tallos principales cerca de la parte radicular, como a la pudrición apical de raicillas y estolones, esta característica multisintomática se puede deber a su variabilidad genética (Ferrucho et al, 2013;Kumar et al, 2017). En la etapa de floración, se incrementa la actuación de R. solani sobre los tejidos subterráneos más jóvenes como son las partes apicales de raicillas y estolones, ocasionando interferencias metabólicas vía haces vasculares, lo que en consecuencia conduce a enrollamiento parcial o total de las ramas foliares (Bienkowski et al, 2010;Kumar et al, 2017) (Figura 2). “…This is also known as Rhizoctonia disease complex in potato and causing in all the potatoes around the world. The symptoms of this disease include the appearance of dark brown to black colored small hard compact bodies sclerotia (Kumar et al, 2017) on the potato's surface, the irregularly shaped sclerotia (Malik et al, 2014) vary in size from small, flat, barely detectable blotches to the raised large lumps tightly bound to the skin of the tubers and stems in stem cankers. The fungus survives under warm and hard conditions in the form of hard masses of cells called sclerotia when the temperature is cold and moist the fungus germinates again.…”
