Abstract: Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) occurs throughout Eurasia with considerable morbidity and mortality. Currently, the absence of specific treatments or effective antiviral drugs for hantavirus infection makes developing safe and effective vaccines a high priority.
