Abstract:The synthesis of glycoluril and its derivatives is carried out using the greener acids. We have screened four different greener acids for this synthesis, namely, (1) ethan‐1,2‐diyl bis(hydrogen sulfate) (EDSA), (2) NMP‐HSO4 ionic liquids (NHIL), (3) choline chloride: p‐TSA( ChCl:p‐TSA) DES and (4) choline chloride: oxalic acid (ChCl:OA) DES.
