Abstract:The new magnetostrictive material Fe-Ga alloy has drawn considerable attention due to its excellent performance. The microstructure of the Fe-Ga alloy, which varies with the state of preparation or processing, not only affects the magnetostriction but also the mechanical service stability, i.e., the stress corrosion cracking (SCC) property. In this paper, we report a comparison of the SCC behaviors for two states of Fe85Ga15 alloys by using constant load experiments and the electrochemical method. Results show… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
