A Comparison of DASH Scores Resulting from Different Treatment Options for the Intra-articular Distal Radius Fracture in the Geriatric Population

Abstract: There exist three main methods of treating distal radius fractures: closed reduction, open reduction internal fixation, and percutaneous fixation. 10 studies in the geriatric population comparing closed reduction and ORIF, and ORIF and methods of percutaneous treatment were found. DASH and PRWE scores from these studies at 1 year followup were compiled and means were compared via independent T tests. DASH scores in the ORIF and percutaneous treatment groups were be… Show more

“…The clams that would have a greater feeding rate would be able to filter more food from the environment, leading to an increased rate of survivability in their environment. The mechanism of filter feeding mainly depends on the spacing of the gills in the clams [8,[11][12][13][14][15]. The two main sources of food for C. Fluminea in this experiment were algae and E. coli.…”

“…In this investigation, the authors attempt to develop an AI software that can be utilized to diagnose cases where patients have exudative or non-exudative macular degeneration in either their left eye, their right eye, or both eyes. Our investigation builds upon previous studies that have demonstrated how AI software can accurately diagnose macular degeneration within a patient [15][16][17][18][19][20].…”

“…Nevertheless, further research is needed in order to learn more about MMEJ repair. Perhaps trying therapies with different compounds such as EDTA would yield different results, or maybe different AI software could be developed to help process the lab results from recombination at a faster rate [24][25][26][27][28][29][30]. The findings from this paper could help scientists gain a more thorough understanding of diseases such as CJD…”
