Abstract:In this paper, we study six different boundary control point mappings for cylindrical surface pasting and compare the resulting pasted surfaces for C 0 join continuity. All six methods are algorithmically simple with low computational costs, requiring minimal computation aside from surface evaluation. The results demonstrate an order of magnitude quality improvement for some of our methods on a convex-only curved base, however, as the complexity of the base surface increases all methods show similar performanc… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
