A compact VHF/UHF band quasi‐Yagi antenna for multifunction radar applications

Abstract: A compact quasi‐yagi antenna for multifunction radar applications is proposed, consisting of a dual dipole‐driven element, a half bow‐tie reflector and a bow‐tie director. Size reduction is achieved by adding the half bow‐tie reflector structure. Addition of the half bow‐tie reflector and bow‐tie director improves the gain and front‐to‐back ratio in the Very high frequency (VHF)/Ultra high frequency (UHF) band.
