Abstract:The atrioventricular node (AVN) is considered a "black box", and the functioning of its dual pathways remains controversial and not fully understood. In contrast to numerous clinical studies, there are only a few mathematical models of the node. In this paper, we present a compact, computationally lightweight multifunctional rabbit AVN model based on the Aliev-Panfilov two-variable cardiac cell model. The AVN model includes fast (FP) and slow (SP) pathways, primary pacemaking in the sinoatrial node, subsidiary… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
