A compact internal antenna for LTE/WWAN mobile phone applications

Abstract: A compact multiband internal antenna is proposed for LTE/WWAN mobile phone application. The structure of proposed antenna is composed of a coupling feed L‐shaped monopole and a grounded meandered branch. The coupling feed L‐shaped monopole excites a widely operating band to cover the frequency range of 1750∼2525 MHz for the DCS/PCS/UMTS/LTE/WLAN operation.
