Abstract:A port-wine stain is a capillary vascular malformation. While cases of congenital port-wine stains (PWSs) are relatively common, cases of acquired PWSs are quite rare. 1 Laser therapy is the current gold standard for treatment of PWS despite the fact that some patients are not adequately treated by this modality. 2 Here, we report the successful improvement of a recalcitrant acquired port-wine stain of the buttock using narrowband ultraviolet B phototherapy (NB-UVB).
