A Cloud Model for Internet of Things on Logistic Supply Chain

Abstract

Abstract. In this paper we propose a cloud model of internet of things for logistic supply chains. In the cloud model, the cloud terminals can collect, receive and deliver information by integration of mobile networks, wireless networks, networks of sensors, including data, video and audio information. The data and information are classified and dealt with in the cloud service platform where the communication cluster servers, application servers, middleware servers and database servers are located. In this model the cluster service, resource dispatch and load balance are cooperative for every application group in the cloud in order to serve for the management and monitoring during the logistic supply chain lifecycle. In order to support high performance of cloud service, NIO (Non-blocking Input/Output) and RMI (Remote Method Invocation) are applied for the resource cooperative dispatch. BackgroundThe Internet of things is more and more popular because of its intelligence, integration and automation with Internet, Intranet, WAN, LAN, CANBUS, 3&4G, and other sensor network such as Radio-frequency Identification networks (RFID), Bluetooth, CANBUS, Video collection networks and so on. A Hybrid Cluster-based (HC) WSN model was proposed by Huang et al. [6], which provided a feasible cluster-based WSN architecture. It can save the energy of the sensor node when things are normal, while transmits emergency data packets in an efficient manner to the sink node during an emergency. An insect organize model was setup in sensor networks by Ma and Krings [5], which proposed potential new research problems inspired by insect sensory system with focusing on unexplored fields. They justified how and why insect sensory systems might inspire novel computing and communications paradigms. The distributed detection on a binary target is considered with wireless sensors sending local decisions to a fusion center by Kim et al.
