Abstract:BACKGROUNDCholesteatoma is a sac in the middle ear cleft lined by stratified squamous epithelium and containing keratin debris. It is capable of soft tissue and bone destruction, thus leading to several, even life-threatening, complications. Surgical therapy is the mainstay of management.
