A Class of Association Measures for Categorical Variables Based on Weighted Minkowski Distance

Abstract: Measuring and testing association between categorical variables is one of the long-standing problems in multivariate statistics. In this paper, I define a broad class of association measures for categorical variables based on weighted Minkowski distance.
