A Check List of Flowering Plants of the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park

Abstract: A check list containing 397 plant species has been compiled for the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park which occupies an area of approximately 9 600 km2. These species represent 191 genera and 51 families. The Monocotyledonae are represented by 98 species (24,7 of the total number of species) and the Dicotyledonae by 299 species (75,3 of the total number of species). According to the life form spectrum the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park is a therophyte-hemicryptophyte area
