A Cationic Two-Dimensional Zn(II) Coordination Polymer, Crystal Structure and Fluorescence Emission

Abstract: The reaction of 1,4-bis ((2H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)methyl) naphthalene and pyridinium 1,1,2,3,3-pentacyanopropenide (PCP) with Zn(II) salts yielded twodimensional (2D) chain coordination polymer ([Zn (C 26 H 20 N 4 ) 2 2? ][C 8 N 5 -] 2 ). The 2D structure was synthesized via solvothermal synthesis; and structurally characterized by elemental analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, and singlecrystal X-ray diffraction.
