A Case Series on Gossypiboma - Varied Clinical Presentations.

Abstract

Gossypiboma may present with various presentations. Cases are found rarely and are under-reported. We encountered 3 cases who presented to the emergency department with three various presentationsenterocutaneous fistula, parietal abscess, intraluminal retained surgical sponge presenting as abdominal lump. Incidentally all of them underwent gynaecological surgery previously.
