“…However, the long‐term effects of this mechanical compression on the urethra are unknown due to the resistance created by the device and the patient's need to urinate. In 2005, Zephyr Switzerland designed the Zephyr ZSI 375 (Figure 3C), which consists of two parts, a circular urethral cuff and a pressure‐regulating tank placed in the scrotum 20–22 . When the patient needs to urinate, the activation button is pressed and the piston drops, forcing fluid from the cuff into the hydraulic loop and compensation chamber, and the urethra opens.…”
