A Case of Septic Shock due to Kodamaea Ohmeri

Abstract: Kodamaea ohmeri is an emerging rare fungal pathogen that often infects patients with weakened immunity. Herein, we report a case of a patient with normal immune function infected with K.ohmeri. The patient presented with fever, shortness of breath and lethargic (accompanied by septic shock in one episodes) within two weeks. Chest roentgenography showed massive right-side pleural effusion and atelectasis, and left-side pneumonia.
