A Case of Replantation and the Result after Twelve Years

Abstract

THE operations of replantation, transplantation and implantation of teeth are very old, but the last two methods of treatment, at all events, have been discarded by most dental surgeons. In the early days of the Odontological Society these operations were cited as satisfactory methods of replacing any lost, or seriously damaged teeth, but we have few accurate accounts of the final results in cases in which the teeth had remained in situ for many years. For this reason, I show this case in which two replanted teeth were retained, and remained functional for more than twelve years. The patient was a young woman who came to Guy's Hospital
