Abstract:Hypertriglyceridemia is known to be the third most common etiology of acute pancreatitis. Triglyceride levels above 1,000 mg/dL are associated with an increased risk of acute pancreatitis. We present the case of a 22-year-old female, a known case of hypertriglyceridemia, who developed sudden onset severe epigastric abdominal pain.
