Abstract:Neonatal Lupus (NLE) is a rare acquired autoimmune disorder caused by transplacental passage of maternal autoantibodies to Sjogren’s Syndrome A or B (SSA-SSB) autoantigens1 which target fetal and neonatal tissues for immune destruction.
