A Case of Mucinous Adenocarcinoma Arising from a Colostomy Site 35 Years after Amputation of the Rectum for Rectal Cancer

日臨外会誌 81(10) ，2093-2097，2020 DepartmentsofSurgery 1) andPathology 2) ,Kyoto-KatsuraHospital Wereportacaseofan86-year-oldmanwithatumorarisingfromacolostomysitewhichhadcreat-ed35yearspreviouslywhenrectalamputationwasdoneforrectalcancer.Thepatientvisitedourhospitalcomplainingofexacerbatingmelena.Biopsyrevealedmucinousadenocarcinomaandsurgicalresection of the tumor was performed. Pathological examination revealed mucinous adenocarcinoma invading the surroundingskin.Hispostoperativecoursewasuneventful.Carcinomaarisingfromacolostomysiteis rare.Itcaninvadethesubcutaneousstructureinsomecases.Radicalsurgicalresectionseemstocontributetofavorableoutcomes.Surgicalresectionisimportant.
