A Case of Laparoscopic Radical Resection after Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy for Sigmoid Colon Carcinoma with a Bladder Fistula

Abstract: A 68-year-old man was diagnosed as having advanced sigmoid colon cancer with a bladder fistula. Preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy was performed to avoid anterior pelvic evisceration. Since the tumorshrank,totallylaparoscopicradicalresectionwasperformed.Thebladderfistulawasresectedfullthickness,usingbilateralobservationwithalaparoscopeandacystoscope,whichresultedinnegativemargins.Thepathologicalfindingswereadenocarcinoma,T4b,N0,M0,yStageIIc;allsurgicalmarginswere negative.
