A case of an injured calcaneus secundarius in a professional soccer player

Abstract: Background The calcaneus secundarius (CS) is an accessory ossicle of the anterior facet of the calcaneus and is usually asymptomatic. This accessory bone can be frequently mistaken for a fracture of the anterior process of the calcaneus.
