Abstract:Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) continues to be a devastating complication of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. Local ablative therapies for small HCC are successful, but treatment of advanced HCC is severely lacking. Sorafenib is the only current therapy for advanced HCC.
