Abstract:Acute intestinal obstruction is a multifactorial disease. Its causes may be intra-abdominal adhesions, volvulus, bezoar, gallstones, foreign bodies, intestinal tumors, etc. In rare cases, acute intestinal obstruction may be associated with intussusception, which is relatively rare in adults.
