Detection of anomalies in diaphragm walls with crosshole sonic logging

Crosshole sonic logging (CSL) can be used to determine the quality of joints in a diaphragm wall. Tests conducted on laboratory models have provided reference information for interpretation of field data. During two large construction projects, CSL has been implemented for quality control of diaphragm walls. The field experiences have shown the benefits of the tests and the predictive value of the reference measurements.Résumé : Auscultation sonique (crosshole sonic logging (CSL)) peut être utilisée pour déterminer la qualité des joints dans une paroi moulée. Des tests effectués sur des échantillons de laboratoire ont fourni des informations de référence pour l'interprétation des données de terrain. Pendant deux grands projets de construction CSL a été mis en oeuvre pour le contrôle de qualité des parois moulées. Les expériences de terrain ont montré les avantages des tests et la valeur prédictive des mesures de référence.Mots-clés : auscultation sonique (CSL), paroi moulée, joint, contrôle de la qualité.
