A Bronchoscopic Oddity

Abstract: Tracheobronchial amyloidosis is a rare disorder of unknown cause associated with the extracellular deposition of amyloid protein in a characteristic spatial structure of β-sheet fibrils assembled into bundles. We present a case that represents the nodular form of tracheobronchial amyloidosis, which is the least common form of pulmonary amyloidosis with less than 20 cases reported so far.
