A Broad Literature Review of Density Measurements of Liquid Cast Iron

Abstract: Abstract:The literature on density measurements, with a particular interest in methods suitable for liquid cast iron, is reviewed. Different measurement methods based on a number of physical properties are highlighted and compared. Methods for the calculation of density are also reviewed, and the influence of alloying elements on density is, to some extent, discussed. The topic is of essence for the understanding of the material behaviour at solidification, which is pivotal in software applications for casting… Show more

“…Density is an important physical characteristic of a material that helps to decide the radiation shielding ability of a material. It is well known that the higher the density of the material, the higher will be the chance of the probability of interaction between the incident photon and absorbing material (Hellström et al 2017).…”

“…The results were compared with the characteristics of low- and high-viscosity commercial PDMS. In the characterization process, the density of PDMS was measured through mass and volume measurements using Equation (1) [ 24 ]: where ρ = density (g/mL), m = mass (gr), and V = volume (mL). The viscosity of 3 mL of PDMS samples was determined by the torsional oscillation method using a SEKONIC VISCOMATE viscometer model VM-10A-MH from SEKONIC, Tokyo, Japan.…”

“…Semakin tinggi rasio perbandingan EGDE:asam oleat maka semakin rendah densitas.
