“…Collinearity diagnostic analysis was conducted to investigate the multicollinearity effect based on the PCA results. As many as 11 nonmulticollinear characteristics (µm) were used in the initial canonical structure matrix to establish purposeful variables for further analysis of all of the species, while in the group of C. gestroi, 16 non-multicollinear characteristics were utilized in a stepwise fashion to independently select variables that would give the most contribution to the separation of the group [66,67]. In the stepwise DFA, Wilk's lambda F value was used (default settings: 3.87 as the entry value; 2.71 as the removal value).…”

“…In 1998, 30 crania were analyzed for research, which belonged to a collection of 700 modern crania of Chinese origin aged between 20-and 40-year-old (Cheung et al, 1998). In 2016, 15 crania mainly belonging to individuals from southern China (Guangdong and Fujian provinces) were described (Pietrusewsky et al, 2016), probably referring to data collected earlier (Pietrusewsky, 1992). Overall, this information was in partial agreement with the records of the current Collection, which is likely constituted (to a variable extent) by parts of the remains described above.…”

“…Further annual exhumation and retrieval exercises were conducted between 1982 and 1988, which included remains of individuals who had died between 1975 and 1981 (personal communication from Prof. Jablonski N.G.). Accordingly, a previous author analyzed 80 crania (Pietrusewsky, 1992) and 50 crania (Pietrusewsky & Chang, 2003) (Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, HKU at PPDH) of individuals who died in HK between 1978 and 1980, and further described 15 crania and skeletons of unclaimed individuals who died in HK in the same period, which were exhumed from the Wo Hop Shek Cemetery (Fanling, New Territories, HK) and donated to the PPDH (Pietrusewsky et al, 2016).…”
