“…Bibliometric methods have been used earlier by researchers to measure publication activity in various domains (de Araújo, Pedron, & Picoto, 2018;Pasadeos & Renfro, 1992). The bibliometric analysis uses objective and quantitative perspective to delineate, retrospect, and monitor research activity within a domain and reports the relationships using a systematic, clear, and consistent review process (Chen & Xiao, 2016;Morkunas, Moore, & Duncan, 2019;Rey-Martí, Ribeiro-Soriano, & Palacios-Marqués, 2016).…”

The keywords “political” and “marketing” are also widely used in academic literature resulting in the retrieval of thousands of documents not related to political marketing discipline when the search was performed without using search quotes.…”

“…Moreover, as Fleisher noted at the advent of the Journal of Public Affairs in 2001, programs often are more directly oriented to public sector professional careers than those in business (Fleisher, 2001:438). In a bibliometric analysis of all articles published between 2001 and 2016 in this journal, education and teaching public affairs remain low key in attention (Morkunas, Moore, & Duncan, 2019). Some exceptions are, in the early to mid‐2000s, Fleisher (2001) and McGrath (2005).…”

“…Bibliometrics is a common method in journal analysis and can provide valuable research policies for scientific community members, especially editors, authors, and journal audiences (Antons et al , 2016; Morkunas et al , 2019; Restrepo and Willett, 2017). In addition, it is considered as a set of methods for analyzing scientific literature quantitatively by using bibliographic data (De Bellis, 2009).…”
