Land comprehensive carrying capacity (LCCC) reflects the limits of urban development that the land ground in the spatial area can bear under the constraints of society, economy, resources, and environment. An accurate and objective evaluation of LCCC is of great significance to the rational planning of urban space. Using the entropy method to obtain the weights of evaluation indexes, this study constructed an index system composed of four subsystems, i.e., urban construction (UC), social economy (SE), industry development (ID), and urban ecology (UE). Furthermore, calculating the index of 11 cities for the Harbin-Changchun urban agglomeration (HCUA) to analyze the influence of LCCC from diverse dimensions for the period 2004–2015. Lastly, the spatial and temporal differentiation characteristics between the neighboring units of LCCC were visualized through global and local spatial analysis. The results infer some novel findings as follows. (1) The overall tendency of the LCCC of the HCUA has gradually increased over the time window with the coordination of each subsystem. The urban ecological subsystem shows the highest rate of contribution and the social economy subsystem has the largest increase. Urban construction and industry development have a lower number of hot spot cities and lower clustering characteristics than social economy and urban ecology. (2) The core cities of the HCUA, Changchun and Harbin, demonstrate the reverse trend from 2010 to 2015, which reveals the states of excellent and good carrying capacity, respectively. In contrast, four cities are at the inferior state, and three cities are poor. Prioritizing the promotion of the industry development subsystem should be considered for these seven cities. (3) There is some spatial variation of LCCC in the HCUA, which shows the characteristic of “gradually decreasing from the core city to the surrounding area”. Changchun and Jilin are high–high clustering areas that drive Siping from a cold spot to a hot spot. Focusing on the development of secondary growth pole cities, Jilin and Songyuan are forming complementary and mutual reinforcement with the core cities, which has a positive significance in promoting the sustainable development of the regional space of urban agglomeration.

Due to the excessive use of natural resources in the contemporary world, the importance of ecological and environmental condition modeling has increased. Wetlands and cities represent the natural and artificial strategic areas that affect ecosystem conditions. Changes in the ecological conditions of these areas have a great impact on the conditions of the global ecosystem. Therefore, modeling spatiotemporal variations of the ecological conditions in these areas is critical. This study was aimed at comparing degrees of variation among surface ecological conditions due to natural and unnatural factors. Consequently, the surface ecological conditions of Gomishan city and Gomishan wetland in Iran were modeled for a period of 30 years, and the spatiotemporal variations were evaluated and compared with each other. To this end, 20 Landsat 5, 7, and 8, and 432 Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS), monthly land surface temperature (LST) (MOD11C3) and normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) (MOD13C3) products were utilized. The surface ecological conditions were modeled according to the Remote Sensing-based Ecological Index (RSEI), and the spatiotemporal variation of the RSEI values in the study area (Gomishan city, Gomishan wetland) were evaluated and compared with each other. According to MODIS products, the mean of the LST and NDVI variance values for the study area (Gomishan city, Gomishan wetland) were obtained to be 6.5 °C (2.1, 12.1) and 0.009 (0.005, 0.013), respectively. The highest LST and NDVI temporal variations were found for Gomishan wetland near the Caspian Sea. According to Landsat images, Gomishan wetland and Gomishan city have the highest and lowest temporal variations in surface biophysical characteristics, respectively. The mean RSEI for the study area (Gomishan city, Gomishan wetland) was 0.43 (0.65, 0.29), respectively. Additionally, the mean Coefficient of Variation (CV) of RSEI for the study area (Gomishan city, Gomishan wetland) was 0.10 (0.88, 0.51), respectively. The surface ecological conditions of Gomishan city were worse than those of the Gomishan wetland at all dates. Temporal variations in the surface ecological conditions of Gomishan wetland were greater than those of the study area and Gomishan city. These results can provide useful and effective information for environmental planning and decision-making to improve ecological conditions, protect the environment, and support sustainable ecosystem development.

Carbon labeling schemes enable consumers to be aware of carbon emissions regarding products or services, to help change their purchasing behaviors. This study provides a bibliometric analysis to review the research progress of carbon labeling schemes during the period 2007–2019, in order to provide insight into its future development. Number of publications, countries of publications, authors, institutions, and highly cited papers are included for statistical analysis. The CiteSpace software package is used to visualize the national collaboration, keywords co-appearance, and aggregation. The results are given as follows: (1) there are 175 articles published in the pre-defined period, which shows a gradual increase, with a peak occurred in 2016; (2) carbon labeling schemes are mainly applied to grocery products, and gradually emerged in construction and tourism. (3) Existing studies mainly focus on examination of utility of carbon labeling schemes, by conducting surveys to investigate individual perception, preference, and willingness to pay. (4) Future research will include the optimization of life cycle assessment for labeling accreditation, improvement of labeling visualization for better expression, and normalization of various environmental labels to promote sustainable consumption.
