The aim of this study was to analyze the participation of women in coaching and referee positions in the Brazilian Women’s Basketball League, from the first edition of the championship (2010) to the present moment (2017). For this proposal, we analyzed the gender of the coaching staff and referee crews from all the matches played in this period. All data were collected from the official match reports, accessed at the League headquarters. The results showed that women represent 24% of the head coaches, and this proportion has remained stable over the past years. However, it was found that women’s participation as assistant coaches dropped from 88% (2010) to 34% (2017). Although, the participation actually increased for women in the positions of referee, umpire 1 and umpire 2, over the past seven years, these positions are still mostly occupied by men. A higher participation of women could be found in scorer and timekeeper positions, which also remained stable over the years. Although women's participation in sports, and specifically in elite Brazilian basketball, has been increasing in the last decades, the findings of this study showed that occupations for women, within basketball are still restricted to positions of less visibility. Men still mostly occupy the positions of leadership, as head coaches and referees. The results suggest the need for debate and proposals of policies, to promote female participation in different leadership positions in basketball. OBJETIVO: Avaliar a QV, a sonolência diurna e a percepção da imagem corporal dos profissionais que atuam com a modalidade tênis, na cidade de Campo Grande/MS.MÉTODOS: A amostra do estudo foi composta por 20 treinadores de tênis (40,6±8,7 anos), com experiência no exercício profissional com a modalidade (17,7±8,8 anos), da cidade de Campo Grande/MS. Como instrumentos foram utilizados: uma ficha para levantamento das variáveis sociodemográficas, o WHOQOL-Bref, a Escala de Sonolência de Epworth e a Escala de Silhuetas da Imagem Corporal. A coleta de dados ocorreu presencialmente, no local de trabalho dos treinadores. Por meio do software Microsoft Excel 2010 foram realizados cálculos de frequência, medidas de tendência central e dispersão.RESULTADOS: Os treinadores apresentam uma QV satisfatória (72,26). O domínio Relações sociais foi o que apresentou maior valor (76,67), enquanto o domínio Meio ambiente (67,03) foi o único a apresentar valores abaixo dos observados à QV geral. Os resultados da Epworth indicaram que 45,00% dos treinadores apresentaram alterações no sono, associadas à sonolência diurna excessiva. Apenas três treinadores relataram estar satisfeitos com a imagem corporal.CONCLUSÕES: Os treinadores campo-grandenses apresentaram índices satisfatórios de QV. Entre os profissionais que apresentaram alterações no sono, observou-se que a quantidade de horas dormidas por noite foi inferior às recomendadas pela literatura para a faixa etária. Por fim, verificou-se que a maior parte dos treinadores insatisfeitos com a imagem corporal apresentavam sobrepeso e/ou obesidade.

A história das mulheres no esporte aponta para um protagonismo secundarizado em virtude do projeto político de um esporte dominado pelos homens. Narrar os feitos das mulheres no campo esportivo permite a visibilidade de uma jornada subdivulgada. Analisar a trajetória vivida por atletas permite compreender o protagonismo como um ato político, presente na dimensão social, definida ao se caracterizar como algo novo, que inaugura outro tempo. A entrada das mulheres no esporte, assim como em outras esferas da sociedade, é um ato transgressor, que emerge das sutilezas das relações humanas.
