A bacteriological study of CSOM in Konaseema region

Abstract: Background: Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media is a disease of multiple aetiology and is well known for its persistence and recurrence in spite of treatment. Changes in the microbiological profile following the advent of sophisticated synthetic antibiotics and unscrupulous usage of antibiotics increase the relevance of reappraisal of the modern day organisms in CSOM and their in vitro antibiotic sensitivity pattern. Aim: To identify bacteriological profile in our geographical area in CSOM both in TTD and AAD typ… Show more

“…In the study conducted by Raju et al, similar observation was made with 53% males and 47% females. 8 Male preponderance was also observed by Kumar et al in which 52% were males and 48% were females. 9 The possible reason for high predominance in males could be, because our society is conservative where men have more privileges when compared with women in being taken to tertiary centers for treatment and they indulge in outdoor work.…”

“…Due to the composites' high attenuation of electromagnetic waves may be employed as antiradar devices and shielding materials to reduce electromagnetic interference. [183] Numerous researchers have synthesized nanocomposites materials capable of absorbing EM radiation, including ferrite/polymer, [184][185][186][187][188][189][190][191][192][193][194] graphene/polymer, [195][196][197][198][199][200][201][202] hexaferrite/polymer, [203][204][205] polyaniline/carbon nanotube, [206][207][208][209][279][280][281][282] and polyaniline/MWCNT nanocomposite. In situ polymerization of MWCNTs/BaM/PANI was used by Afghahi et al [210] Their process begins with 30 min of mixing 10 cm 3 DBSA with water.…”
