A 61-year-old man with cystoid macular edema and chorioretinal folds after cataract surgery

Abstract: HistoryA 61-year-old white man was referred to the University of Minnesota Department of Ophthalmology with a diagnosis of cystoid macular edema (CME) following bilateral cataract surgery 2 months prior. Chorioretinal folds and CME were present on fundus examination and optical coherence tomography (OCT). His past medical history included diabetes mellitus for 18 years, hypertension for 5 years, and heart disease with bypass surgery.
