“…At the same time, CqHsp24.06 and CqHsp41.97 were more sensitive to Vibrio Alginolyticus than to Aeromonas hydrophila . Similar results were found in Macrobrachium nipponense , MnHSP28.6 was induced by both metal or doxorubicin stress (Yuan et al, 2019). The up‐regulation of Tegillarca granosa , Sorbus pohuashanensis, Sinonovacula constricta, Pelophylax bergeri and Cherax quadricarinatus sHSP after thermal shock, metal treatment and bacteria challenge showed that sHSPs play a pivotal role in animal immune system or could be considered to be a promising candidate bio‐mark for heavy metals monitoring (Bao et al, 2011; Simoncelli et al, 2019; Zhang et al, 2013; Zhang et al, 2020).…”

“…Yuan et al reported that the small heat shock proteins in Macrobrachium plays vital role against heavy metal toxicity. 40 Mota et al found that the proteins related to photosynthesis, CO 2 , xation and carbohydrate metabolism, translation, and nitrogen and amino acid metabolism in Cyanothece sp. CCY 0110 had signicant difference in the presence and absence of heavy metal ions.…”

“…The sHSPs, which have a molecular mass ranging from 9 to 43 kDa, play an essential role in preventing the aggregation of unfolded or misfolded proteins (Qiang et al, 2012). Similar to other types of HSPs, sHSPs are involved in dealing with a wide variety of abiotic stress, such as heat/cold stress, osmotic stress, hypoxia, heavy metals and organic pollutants exposure (Mohindra et al, 2015; Music et al, 2014; Shi et al, 2016; Yuan et al, 2019). Furthermore, previous studies have shown that sHSPs also participated in immune responses (Bakthisaran et al, 2015; Janewanthanakul et al, 2019; Kargul & Laurent, 2012; Yao et al, 2019).…”
