Abstract:Chlorophenols are ubiquitous contaminants in the environment. They are used as intermediates in manufacturing agricultural chemicals such as biocides, fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, and precursors in the synthesis of other pesticides; pharmaceuticals and dyes since the 1930s.
