Abstract: Endoscopy is indicated for the evaluation of unexplained iron deficiency to rule out neoplasia. Iron deficiency is common in postgastrectomy patients. The endoscopic yield for significant pathology in these patients is unknown but is expected to be lower than for other iron-deficient groups.
