Abstract:The electrocoagulation of fipronil (insecticide) contaminated wastewater by Iron anodes has been investigated. During the various stages of electrolysis, parameters such as COD, chloride ion concentration, Fluoride were examined and discussed. The maximum chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal efficiency 70 %, chloride 62%, fluoride 40% was achieved at pH 7, operated at the current density of 7.5 mA/cm 2 , electrolyte (NaCl) concentration of .1M and at 120 min of electrolysis using iron anode.
